Known for her great efficiency and pragmatism, Caroline helps clients resolve complex workplace issues.

Caroline-Ariane Bernier is a partner in the labour and employment law group at the Montreal office. Her practice focuses on supporting employers under both provincial and federal regulations across various industries, including mining, manufacturing and the banking sectors.

Caroline-Ariane regularly appears before administrative and civil courts. She also provides strategic advice on all aspects of employer-employee relations and labour relations, including matters of terminations, restrictive covenants, human rights, pay equity, and in the interpretation and application of individual contracts and collective bargaining agreements. She is frequently called upon to support our teams in corporate restructuring, acquisitions, and business sales operations.

Caroline-Ariane has particular expertise in the field of occupational health and safety, both in prevention and inspection, as well as dealing with workplace accidents and occupational diseases. She also conducts legal monitoring in this area. She routinely acts as a workplace investigator, speaker at conferences, and is often called upon to provide training to clients. She leads the action group for the inclusion of racialized individuals at the Montreal office, sits on the student committee, and regularly provides pro bono services.

Caroline-Ariane earned a bachelor's degree in civil law and common law from McGill University in 2014, during which she interned at the Human Rights Tribunal. She articled with the Centre communautaire juridique de Montréal (legal aid) and was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2016 and to the Ontario Bar in 2020.
